Learn and build your skills in creating visual arts, taught by experts in the field!
These three days will consist of four different creative workshops that everyone will have the opportunity to try.
This includes workshops in:
- Jewellery Design and Making: Learning to design, create and wear your own jewellery using wire work, polymer clay and resin.
- Pottery: Learning different techniques for working with clay.
- Fine Art: Exploring different techniques in fine art such as oil painting, portraiture, pencil work and calligraphy art.
- Textiles: Learning different textiles techniques such as knitting, crocheting, felting and embroidery.

Suitable for ages 12-16, all levels of experience are welcome!

About your session leaders■
Jewellery Design and Making with Chloe Kimmel
Chloe is a creative that loves making things with her hands. Aswell as being the Family & Youth Programmer at JW3, she also has studied Silversmithing, Textiles and Arts & Design. Her jewellery making style primarily lies in Lost Wax Carving and wire work. As well as loving and exploring all things creative, Chloe has worked with Early Years and Young People since the age of 14, volunteering at summer camps, early years education and other creative teen programmes.
Pottery with Androulla Mekelis
Androulla is the founder and owner of Photini Pottery. She is a qualified secondary school teacher with 29 years of experience in teaching and has worked in the state, independent and post sixteen sectors teaching Sociology and Humanities. For the last ten years of her teaching career, she taught children with special educational needs so is very well versed in how important sensory and kinaesthetic activities are for so many young people, as well as adults. Having also worked as an Inclusion Manager whilst teaching, she feels very passionately that creative activities are a unique way of supporting people’s mental health and well-being. Ceramics can be an incredible outlet and an area that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities. She is self-taught in ceramics, having taken several courses.
Fine Arts with Miki Shaw
Miki Shaw is a visual artist and designer living in London. She does graphic design, live visuals, as well as working as an educator and facilitator and creating her own art.
