Both Mishka and Alasdair have enraptured JW3 audiences in multiple appearances so it will be enthralling to hear them collaborate and share one piano for this unusual and beautifully conceived programme.

Schubert wrote many masterpieces for four hands; Ravel is a master of colour and subtlety; Rachmaninov was one of the greatest pianists and composers of the 20th century; the Bach arrangement is perfectly realised by the great contemporary composer Kurtag; Brahms and Dvorak were also masters of four-hand writing.

This will be a hugely enjoyable treat.
