Whether playing concerti, chamber music or unaccompanied violin, or directing orchestras such as Chamber Orchestra of Europe or the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Polish-born Maria Włoszczowska (Violin) captivates her audiences with her liveliness, charm, and finesse and her palpable love of music and of the violin.
She is joined by David Waterman (cello) and Alasdair Beatson (piano) whose charisma and expressiveness are already well known to JW3 audiences.
The programme includes two unsurpassable major masterpieces from the piano trio repertoire by Schumann and Brahms. The two middle movements of the Schumann trio are amongst the most overwhelmingly moving in the trio literature. The concert opens with Mendelssohn’s marvellous F major violin and piano sonata.
