This is Yom Kippur 101 and you’re invited. Yes, YOU.

Rabbi David Mason will take you on a journey exploring the festival, its rituals and how different Jewish cultures mark it. You'll get the chance to ask all your questions (the more bizarre, the better!) and get all the answers you need to be able to get clued up on the Jewish Festival of Atonement.

Oh, and there'll be be dinner, because how could we ask you to learn on an empty stomach? Just make sure you finish your meal in time for Yom Kippur!

This is a non-judgemental, cross-communal space for you to learn everything you always wanted to know (but were too afraid to ask) about this historical Jewish festival. This class is open to anyone in their 20s-30s interested in learning about Jewish culture, ritual, and tradition.

If you’ve made it to the end of this description (phew!) and are still a little unsure if this class is for you and want to have a quick chat to learn more, feel free to email us at info@jw3.org.uk

Rabbi David Mason is CEO of HIAS+JCORE, the Jewish response to the refugee crisis and working towards racial equality. He was previously a communal Rabbi for 20 years in Kingston and Muswell Hill and represented Chief Rabbis Sacks and Mirvis in areas of social responsibility.
