Whether you're grieving the loss of a parent, grandparent, partner, or close relative, this group offers a safe space for connection and healing.
Led by Sheila Mattison, a professional bereavement counsellor, and Margi, a psychotherapist, you'll have the opportunity to share your feelings, receive guidance, and find support alongside others who understand.
This group will be held specifically for those ages 20-35, in recognition of Grief Awareness Week.
Sheila works independently as a psychotherapist and has been involved with the Jewish Bereavement Counselling Service for many years. As well as offering supervision to bereavement counsellors within the service, she has had the opportunity to facilitate and supervise various support groups for people who have been bereaved and wanted to share their experiences with others similarly affected.
Margi is a freelance psychotherapist. She has for a long time been a supervisor with The Jewish Bereavement Service. She has been involved with the setting up and planning and supervision of the various groups that JBCS has run. She is committed to the value of being able to offer bereaved people a safe space to be with other people who have their own
experience of loss. Many have said that being in a group can help with feeling less isolated.
