With an extensive repertoire under their sleeves, She’Koyokh play the music from the Ashkenazi wedding tradition as authentic Klezmorim, presenting a captivating programme of Klezmer interspersed with soulful new interpretations of the Ladino speaking Jews who were expelled from Spain in 1492 and migrated to the Ottoman Empire.

Their programme reflects the diversity of these heritages, the history of migration, and the musical contact that has taken place across social and political boundaries over hundreds of years. The music is interpreted with serious scholarship and flare, and filled with dazzling virtuosity and innovation.

In their live performances, She’Koyokh share their passion for this beautiful, bitter-sweet music with irresistible rapport and thrilling energy.
