Join Joseph Gitler and Yosi Naim as they share untold stories from the frontlines of the leading food rescue organisation in Israel, and the broader challenges facing Israeli agriculture.
Joseph Gitler, the visionary founder of Leket Israel, started a one-man operation 21 years ago that has since grown into Israel's National Foodbank and a global leader in food rescue. Since the outbreak of the war, Leket Israel has implemented various emergency relief programmes to support Israelis living under siege, the large evacuee population and over 800 farmers.
Yosi Naim, a dedicated farmer and resident of Moshav PriGan on the Gaza border, has a compelling story to tell. Established in 1981 by former residents of Pri'el—a Moshav in Sinai evacuated as part of the Egyptian-Israeli Peace Treaty—the moshav and Yosi's farm have been significantly impacted by the events of 7th October and the ongoing conflict. Yosi's family were evacuated after the moshav were targeted and fought a battle against Hamas.
Hear personal stories of resilience during wartime and learn more about Leket’s critical emergency relief programmes and their impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of Israelis in need.
