Israeli photographer Alan Meerkin will present insights into everyday life in Israel using images from Quotidian, his recent internationally displayed exhibit and on his street photography. He'll touch on the grass roots experiences of communities both in Israel and abroad in the face of current challenges.
Alan Meerkin is a Jerusalem-based photographer and journalist. He grew up in Melbourne moving to Israel in 1990 when he worked as a lawyer at Israel's Ministry of Justice. in 2020 he began photographing the beautiful community gardens at Jerusalem's Museum of Natural History and daily life throughout the country. In 2023 he published 'Distilling Jerusalem: Portraits of the City at Many Given Moments'.
