We are incredibly proud that JW3 is built on the core values of inclusivity and loving-kindness.
As part of our commitment to these values, we will be celebrating Black history month this year with a series of workshops exploring the history of Black people in the UK, hearing the story of Black Jews in the UK, and focusing on how to combat racism in our spaces and communities.
This antiracism training workshop will explore the concepts of racial equity, structural racism, racist stereotypes in the media, 'professionalism', white fragility, talking about race, tone policing and intersectionality. You will learn to identify, talk about and challenge racism and it's individual, interpersonal and systemic effects. The session will be facilitated by Joshua Okhiria and Yuliya Pankratova. Joshua has worked as BME network lead at the NHS, programme evaluation lead in trauma-based care and a mental health and diversity coach. Yuliya Pankratova - a Russian immigrant with Jewish heritage - is one of the co-founders of UNLRN, and has previously worked as the director of the JOLT diversity scheme and has years of experience in the advertising industry.
UNLRN is a Equity, Diversity & Inclusion training with a personal approach and an interactive format. Our training is actionable, practical and creates a safe space in which to discuss difficult and important topics. We have worked with top companies across the globe (Europe, Asia, North America and South America), in a range of industries - from including finance (HSBC) to technology (Oracle, Netsuite), among others.
