After the collapse of communism, Alek (Maciej Stuhr) migrates from Wrocław to the US, leaving his son Tomek (Teodor Koziar) to live alone with mother Helena (Weronika Książkiewicz).
One day, Alek unexpectedly returns home with gifts for his family.
