Do you or your kids have green fingers?

Following the success of our family Foodbank cooking sessions during May half term, we're inviting the whole family to take part in our next volunteering event: The Foodbank Green Project.

We'll be running two 90 minute sessions, preparing individual green packages for our Foodbank recipients. The packages will be made up of plant seeds, pots, soil, recipe cards and a how-to guide for recipients to grow their own greens from home.

Plus, stick around and enjoy our pop-up Beach, our free Crafternoon activity and a family-friendly screening of My Neighbour Totoro.

Spend a fun day with your children volunteering together!

Gardening Donations

Over the next few months, we are looking for gardening donations to assemble plant-at-home veg/herb kits for our Foodbank recipients. This will promote improved nutrition through self-sustaining economical methods and increase knowledge and skills in small-scale urban gardening.

We are looking for the following items:

• Small plastic plant pots (ideally supermarket herb pot size) & drainage saucers
• Mini bags/packets of herb seeds, veg seeds, beans, ready-made growing kits
• Children’s first gardening kits preferably with instructions.
• A5/A6 info cards & mini booklets for growing seeds at home

If you're able to donate any of the above, especially for this event, there will be a dedicated Green Foodbank box located near our main entrance. If you have any general enquiries, email adam.kendler@jw3.org.uk.

Please note

We are asking for a £5 contribution to cover our costs. For anyone who is unable to contribute, please book via the Box Office on 020 7433 8988 (option 1) who will issue complimentary tickets.
