Join William as he dives into the history of the rivers Amur, Mekong, Mississippi, Nile, Trent and Volga.
Rivers have acted as transport and trade hubs, and as national and regional boundaries. They have served as ‘roads’ to war, and as sources of water and motive power. Rivers have also an element of magic about them whether in their natural beauty or in their folklore and myth. The rivers we shall be studying will include the following - Amur, Mekong, Mississippi, Nile, Trent and Volga.
William Tyler MBE has a large following at JW3, he is a freelance educator, lecturer, public speaker, writer and consultant with a main focus on History. He was the Principal of The City Lit, Britain’s largest college of adult education. He was his awarded his MBE for services to education. During lockdown William created a much followed blog for those attending his sessions.
