Step into Esther’s Speakeasy this Purim for an evening of music, performance, storytelling and intrigue inspired by JW3's visual art project, The Deck of Esther.
Get those tastebuds buzzing and buy some food from the café or a drink from the bar and enjoy some card games and a bit of a natter. Then witness a spectacular cabaret based on the characters from the Purim story, with a 1920’s America Prohibition twist.
Velvet-voiced Vashti’s on the mic, with piano accompaniment, Achashverosh is serving at the bar, Haman is the ghost that just won’t leave, and after her first book did so well, Esther kept on writing and opened this Speakeasy, where poets, performers, singers and storytellers delight and entertain.
So sit back, enjoy the show and let our croupiers deal you the perfect hand.
