To mark Holocaust Memorial Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, join us for a special screening of The Commandant's Shadow.

This remarkable documentary follows Hans Jürgen Höss, son of Auschwitz Commandant Rudolf Höss, as he confronts his father's legacy for the first time.

Featuring a historic meeting with Holocaust survivor Anita Lasker-Wallfisch and her daughter Maya, their families come together to explore themes of loss, guilt, trauma and reconciliation.

Back by popular demand, this powerful film delves into the lasting impact of Auschwitz on the descendants of both the perpetrators and survivors. The screening will be followed by an exclusive Q&A with the film director Daniela Völker and Maya Lasker-Wallfisch.

This event is in partnership with the AJR, the largest community of Holocaust descendants in the UK.
