The Annual Spiro Tribute Lecture is sponsored by the Pears Foundation to celebrate the tremendous work of Robin (z"l) and Nitza Spiro and their contribution to Jewish cultural life in Britain over the last 40+ years.
This year we are honoured to welcome David Quarrey and Aldo Henriquez who will focus on the importance of language learning, drawing on their experience of four years of living in Israel and studying Spiro Ark.
Sir David Quarrey was British Ambassador in Israel and recently the permanent British representative to NATO, based in Brussels.
Previously he served as the Prime Minister’s adviser on International Affairs and was Deputy National Security Adviser. He also served as a director of Near East and North Africa desk in the Foreign Office.
