This year, we marked Holocaust Memorial Day, looking at the national theme of 'Ordinary People'.
Ordinary people were victims, bystanders, perpetrators and rescuers during the Holocaust. We will shine a light on the actions of ordinary people in the past to provide reflection and highlight our own roles in society today.
Narrated and presented by actor Ben Caplan (Call the Midwife, Band of Brothers, A Winter's Tale), this moving ceremony included international cantor Jonny Turgel, music from the Kramer and Durcan Duo and testimonies from Holocaust Survivors Mala Tribich and Jackie Young.
Second Generation Lady Irene Hatter spoke about her father Sally (Salomon) Noach, and we screened filmed interviews with Survivors and former Kindertransport refugees.
In addition, we were delighted to be joined by the mayor of Camden, Councillor Nasim Ali, who addressed the audience.
