William Tyler provides a fascinating insight into the 36th President of the USA.
Succeeding to The Presidency after the trauma of JFK’s assassination, LBJ proved to be more than a safe pair of hands. A Texan politician in his own right he made a significant contribution at home with his ‘The Great Society’ policy. He proved less successful in Foreign Affairs as The Vietnam War escalated against mounting opposition.
William Tyler was the Principal of The City Lit, Britain’s largest college of adult education. He now has a freelance career which includes lecturing, public speaking, writing and consultancy with a main focus on History.
