In our divisive age, argument is increasingly seen as a plague to be avoided or a contest to be won. Daniel Taub argues in his new book, Beyond Dispute, that an ancient Jewish wisdom offers a third way.

Weaving ancient insights with contemporary research in conflict resolution, and illustrating his findings with behind-the-scenes personal stories of diplomacy and negotiations, Beyond Dispute is a passionate call to rediscover and harness the "subversive power of a good argument".

Daniel Taub is a diplomat, peace negotiator and former Ambassador to the UK. He has lectured and written about conflict resolution and Biblical studies. He has written drama for television and theatre. His articles have appeared in The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and the Huffington Post, and he has been interviewed on the BBC, Sky, and CNN. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife Zehava. They have six children.
