Judaism was classically depicted as a religion shaped by law, with its emotionally deficient adherents restricted to performing commanded actions.
But Jews and Judaism definitely don’t lack feeling and are absolutely not deficient in love. Three great loves, in particular, have coloured the Jewish tradition: loving God, loving our neighbour, loving the stranger.
