Welcome to the Yiddish Open Mic Café, a celebration of Yiddish song, poetry, stories and theatre - serious and funny.

Based in London, and now in its sixth year, we are pleased to return to JW3 for this, the  60th Yiddish Open Mic Café. All are welcome. Everything is performed in Yiddish, with English translations, so don't worry if your Yiddish is a little rusty, or even non-existent!

We are delighted to welcome Dr Sonia Gollance as our Special Guest this time (Sonia is Lecturer in Yiddish at the Department of Hebrew and Jewish Studies, University College London).

If you would like to read a poem, sing a song, or read a story at the Open Mic, don't hesitate to contact us at openmic@yiddishcafe.com by Friday 6 October. Contributions should not be longer than 6 minutes We can help with translations, and with preparing your material for the Open Mic, if you wish. There also will be an opportunity to chat (in Yiddish or English, or both!) in the JW3 café after the Open Mic.

Please note

This event will take place in the building and online. Please choose either option when booking. A link to watch will be included in the booking confirmation email.
