Join us for a magical, nostalgic evening as we celebrate the music of Jewish songwriters John Kander and Fred Ebb.
Take a trip down memory lane with songs from Chicago (whose hits include All That Jazz), Cabaret (songs from the musical include Wilkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome) and New York New York, made famous by Sinatra from the film of the same name, and much more.
The Kander & Ebb cast includes West End and TV star Thelma Ruby who, now in her 98th year, will be singing the songs she introduced in Hal Prince's 1968 production of Cabaret opposite Dame Judy Dench, as well as appearing as Golde in Fiddler opposite Topol in 1984.
The evening also features actor, singer and writer, Liv Andrusier who has just been nominated for ‘Best Performer in a Musical’ at The Stage Debut Awards for her performance this summer, as Annie Londonderry in Ride (Leicester Curve and Southwark Playhouse Elephant), for which she also won a 2023 Offie Award.
Cast also includes Debbie Chazen (Calendar Girls, The Smoking Room and of course star of JW3's upcoming panto in December), Jack Reitman (Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story, Amour, Assassins, Cinderella), JJ Flynn (Imagine This, Blood Brothers, Les Miserablés) and David Djemal (The Wetsuitman, ALADDIN, NOVEMBER, as well as providing voice work for notable film and TV projects including ENTEBBE, THE CROWN, and BBC’s McMAFIA).
This concert has been lovingly created by producer Neil Marcus (Soho Cinders - Soho Theatre), director Adam Lenson (The Rink - Southwark Playhouse) and musical director Theo Jamieson (Everybody's Talking About Jamie).
