Unfortunately, our January Comedy Club has been cancelled. We will be back soon with another outstanding line up of comedians.
Bringing in the New Year and beating those Winter-Blues we welcome back our JW3 comedy club.
Kicking off the comedy this year we have Philip Simon, Samantha Day, Joe Jacobs and Keith Farnan!
Philip Simon
Professional comedian Philip Simon has been entertaining audiences around the world for over 2 decades. During lockdown he created the hit children’s comedy show School's Out Comedy Club. He has been seen/heard on BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and BBC Radio 4 as part of the BBC New Comedy Award. He has written for Mock the Week, worked on TV shows Taskmaster and The Imitation Game, and is one half of the co-host for comedy podcast Jew Talkin’ To Me?
Samantha Day
Samantha has six children. Three of them are stepchildren, which means that they have been brought up properly, by someone else, and are therefore nice. But her three are a lot better at shoplifting.
She is 53, but looks younger because she's had a lot of work done. Some people have said that that makes her a bad feminist. They don't know the half of it.
She is an alcoholic and hasn’t had a drink for 17 years. And that's ok - she doesn't need to drink in order to socialise or dance. Happily, she doesn’t even need to drink to wet herself.
For nearly thirty years, Samantha was an accountant. She gave it up when, despite her best efforts, she only managed to sleep her way to the middle.
“The real deal, a fresh voice tempered by a life full of square peg experience” - Nick Page, English Comedian of the Year
“Always has our audiences in stitches, spouting words of wisdom and self-improvement - whether wanted or not!” - Flock Comedy Club
Keith Farnan
A former solicitor, Keith has the natural ability to delve into themes other comics may shy away from and it is this aptitude that is placing him in the lead of investigative comedians. He has been a regular guest on radio, both in Ireland and the UK, from BBC, RTE, Talk Sport, Today FM, Newstalk and all sorts of other warm and welcoming studios.
Keith Farnan has performed as a stand-up all over the world, from Montreal, to Amsterdam, to Hong Kong.
His television credits include BBC3's Most Annoying People, One Night Stand (BBC), Liffey Laughs (RTE) and Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow (BBC1).
'... If Eddie Izzard had been Irish, he'd surely have turned out a lot like Keith Farnan' (The Scotsman)
'Brilliant, thought-provoking and laugh out loud funny' (Time Out).
Joe Jacobs
Joe Jacobs is a London based comedian, rapper and writer. His live shows effortlessly flit between hip hop and comedy and he’s been seen/heard on Channel 4, BBC Radio 4, BBC 6 Music, Radio 1XTRA, plus gained millions of viral video views online.
On the live circuit, he’s a regular at The Comedy Store, Top Secret, Glee, Up The Creek, Backyard Comedy Club, Covent Garden Comedy Club, Knock2Bag, Downstairs At The Kings Head, Banana Cabaret, The Distraction Club and many others.
He has provided tour support for acts such as Jamali Maddix, Dane Baptiste and even opened for Bill Burr at The Comedy Store in Hollywood.
