Cancel culture may be in the news but it’s far from new.

Across the world and down the ages, idols have been broken, monuments defaced, books burned, statues toppled and names erased. There’s been excommunication, communal bans, BDS and de-platforming.

In this course, we’ll see how Jews have been affected by cancel culture and ask whether there is a Jewish approach to it. The examples are varied, the resources are rich, the style will be interactive—and the discussion will be lively.
