Join our Young JW3 LGBTQ+ Community where we connect with each other and explore issues related to being LGBTQ+ and Jewish.
This month, we will be joined by Martin Di Maggio who will educate us about the issues Intersex people face and his work to improve their rights.
Martin is a community development worker who provides training for public sector organisations on various aspects of LGBTIA+ rights, including intersex and neurodiversity. He is a member of the Society for Humanistic Judaism and grew up in Hereford and Worcester in a mixed British-Italian-Albanian family. He is also a linguist with a Masters in Language Documentation for endangered languages, and has a BA in Anthropology and Community Development. He has previously worked with the CPS to improve the police force’s response to hate crime reports from marginalised communities and teaches Intersex Rights and Lived Experiences in Sexual Health to medical students at UCL.
JW3 provides a safe and confidential space for anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ or is currently exploring their identity. If you're new to spaces like this, feel free to send us an email with any questions. Suitable for those who identify as LGBTQ+ and are aged 18 to 35.
