Explore the lives and formative experiences of some of the most compelling characters who inhabit the Book of Genesis.

Discover and rediscover Jewish tradition through studying these foundational figures – and find out how classical and modern scholars interpret their moving stories. No Hebrew required.  Julie will look at familiar, loved Bible characters, men and women, through a veil-lifting lens.

Julie Apfel studied at LSE and is a graduate of the Susi Bradfield Women Educators Fellowship. Her teaching includes at: London School of Jewish Studies; JW3; Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning; office-based Lunch & Learn sessions; and within a range of communities, age groups and settings. Julie also works as a copywriter and editor.
